Meet your host:

Jennifer Teague:
Having grown up with formal violin, piano, and voice training, Jennifer Teague has been involved in the music scene her entire life. She is currently a member of the Austin Pro-Musica Chamber Orchestra and the Starlight Symphony of Wimberley. In addition, she has performed with the Ardmore (OK) Civic Orchestra, University of Denver (CO) Symphony Orchestra, the Texas State University Symphony Orchestra, and the Texas State University Chamber Orchestra. She also is a substitute for the Musical Discovery Chamber Players of Austin.

Her heart, however, lies with teaching, having taught violin, piano, cello, and voice for over 20 years in three states. She has received extensive training in the Suzuki method under the guidance of James Mauer, Carol Tarr, Marilyn O’Boyle, Pat D’Ercole, and Nicolette Solomon-Wyk and is an active member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and the Texas Music Educators Association. Jennifer was the Music Director at a private school in Oklahoma, the Co-Founder and Director of an annual strings camp, “Ardmore Summer Strings,” a Violin Instructor at the Denver Talent Education Association in Denver, and was the Assistant Director of the Texas State Suzuki Institute, San Marcos, Texas in 2006.

Jennifer has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Texas State University with an emphasis in violin performance under the direction of Dr. Lynn Ledbetter and a minor in Theatre. She has directed and participated in numerous theatrical productions – both on stage and in the orchestra pit.

In addition to her love of theatre, Jennifer is also a voice over actress. She has studied with many top voice-over coaches in the United States, including Pat Fraley, Bob Bergen, James Alberger, and Lanie Frasier.

She loves to compose and arrange music, adores astronomy, and enjoys painting and art. She shares her home in Dripping Springs with three cats and two clever Chihuahuas.
